Bookkeeping
Bookkeeping is recording the financial transactions of a company, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments, as part of the accounting process of any business. It’s a bookkeeper’s role to accurately track all the outgoings and record them in a way that’s ready to present to an accountant. Good and efficient bookkeeping results in accurate profit figures so you can check how your business is actually performing. It also allows you to have up-to-date records of any clients that owe you money, suppliers that you need to pay and VAT owing so you can keep on
top of your finances all year round.
VAT returns
I can manage your online VAT return submission, guiding you through the instances when you can claim VAT and making sure your submission is right, first time. I will make sure your payments are made on time so you don’t get hit by a late payment penalty or surcharge.
Self assessment
Many business owners find filling in their self-assessment tax return time-consuming and tricky. I can use your accounts information to fill it in for you, detailing all income, expenditure, capital gains and tax relief claims and help you to avoid any penalties for missing the deadline.
Payroll
I can manage your company’s payroll process, from recording your employees’ wages, salaries, bonuses and commission to keeping note of their taxes and contributions to pensions. I’ll help manage and administer all the forms and records that support this process, from P45 and P60s to payslips to absences, and submit all your payroll information to HMRC.
If you work in and around the building industry, I can also manage your Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) as a contractor or a subcontractor.
Pension auto-enrolment
Are you up to date with the latest pension auto-enrolment regulations? Do you know when your staging date is? I can guide you through new regulations to make sure you’re meeting HMRC’s obligations and help you to implement and manage auto enrolment and its knock-on effect on payroll.
